Somewhere between an ancient civilization and a distant technological future, Olivier Pron builds worlds that seem far too enormous to have been imagined by a single person.
His extraordinary science fiction environments are filled with towering alien structures, labyrinthine cities, vast mechanical installations, and architecture that appears to operate according to entirely different laws of physics. Looking at these images, it’s easy to forget that none of these places actually exist.

Pron has spent more than 25 years working as a concept artist and art director in the film industry, contributing to major productions including *Guardians of the Galaxy*, *Doctor Strange*, *Avengers: Infinity War*, *Jupiter Ascending*, and *Mad Max: Fury Road*. His work helped shape the futuristic city of Xandar, the devastated world of Titan, and some of the mind-bending environments of Marvel’s cinematic universe. What makes his art particularly impressive is the sheer attention to architectural detail: even the most outrageous structures feel as though they could have been built by a civilization with its own history, technology, and engineering.
More recently, Pron has taken his imagination beyond the movie screen and into the world of experimental architecture. He contributed designs to Saudi Arabia’s ambitious NEOM development, including the Hidden Marina concept for The Line, which was presented at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale. It’s a fascinating crossover between Hollywood world-building and real-world urban design, although whether such futuristic visions can actually become reality remains another question entirely.
