Upon her return, Amy immersed herself in YouTube tutorials and experimented with various sizes of needles and fibers until she discovered what worked best for her. She initially focused on making pet portraits for friends and family, both in 2D and 3D. During the lockdown, when she was furloughed from work, Amy found herself with ample time to experiment and really enjoy the craft.

Amy’s work is heavily influenced by her childhood experiences. Being a ’90s kid, she has a special affection for that era, finding inspiration in quirky characters like Mr. Blobby, Barney, and the Teletubbies. Additionally, she is a huge fan of artist Mark Ryden, and his cute but slightly creepy paintings serve as a significant source of inspiration for her.
