For Julian Pace, the Seattle-born and now Los Angeles-based Italian-American painter (his name is not pronounced like the iconic gallery), the uniforms and the symbolism of athletics is at the heart of his newest solo show, Front and Back, on view at Simchowitz in LA. It’s also about memory and the sharing of generational stories. It’s about family and texture.
