See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil

“The title of this exhibition is taken from a proverb that says it is better to pretend not to see, not to hear, and not to say what is wrong with others, such as their shortcomings and mistakes,” Nksin says of his new body of work. “Pretending not to see, pretending not to hear, and pretending not to speak are the source of disaster.” In a short window at Maison Ozmen in Paris, the Japanese artist Nksin has built a show that almost appears digital and yet has a technical perfection from his use of acrylics. Like his show in NYC this past summer, Nksin is creating personal works with a universal appeal, solemn and yet profoundly individual. —Evan Pricco
