Joseph Biwald is the Marketing Art Director for PlayStation Studios Creative, supporting Bungie, and is also an independent artist and photographer based in Washington State.

For a decade, Biwald has shaped the marketing art of the Destiny franchise, capturing thousands of in-game screenshots and directing key art for major releases, including Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, where he combined character models, matte painting, and illustration into cinematic promotional imagery. Alongside his studio work, he creates personal illustrations of futuristic and cosmic landscapes — alien terrain, icy towers, and abstract space environments — that carry the same otherworldly, cinematic sensibility as his game art but push further into pure sci-fi fantasy. His piece “Kasai” has been highlighted among standout surreal, imaginary landscape art for its striking sense of scale and atmosphere
