Today in our A Portfolio series, we take a look at the works of Timothy Lai Hui Ming, who recently showed a new body of work at Jack Barrett in NYC in late 2022. Those works, titled Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, Pa, found Lai, whose mother is Mexican American and father is Chinese from Malaysia, exploring “the dynamics of kinship concerning his own personal history.”
